ABOUT
My name is Josh Dykstra, and I like to think of myself as a creative doer. That's a term one of my former managers used to describe me, and ever since then I've happily embraced that label. To me it means a creative person that has a wide range of skills, is eager to learn new ones, and has a knack for finding creative solutions to every day problems.
A creative doer has the ability to see every step of the creative process, and is able carry it through from the initial idea, to a conceptual design, and finally to a finished product.
For example, as an apparel graphic designer with experience in screen printing I am able to conceptualize a graphic, finish the final design, and see it through to a printed t-shirt. As an illustrator with experience in video production, I can create pre-production storyboards to help visualize what the final product will look like. And as a graphic designer with a passion for 3D printing, I can think of a cool new logo and have it 3d printed and sitting on my desk within 20 minutes.
